The Largest Candle Cross made of 30,500 candles, each 17.5 cm long 16.26 gm with 4.71 cm circumference weighing 496 kg was created by Marsleeva Association for Rural Guidance (MARG) Mapranam, Thrissur, Kerala, India at Holy Cross Church, Mapranam, on September 8, 2008. The portions measured 32.92 x 1.52 m (vertical), 7.62 x 1.52 m (horizontal) with 3.81 x 1.52 m at the top. All candles were lit in 11 minutes from 8.00 pm by a group of 150 volunteers in the presence of 2,000 people.
