First Woman Auto Rickshaw Driver in the World

Mrs Laxmi Sharma (Born on 18th December 1951) from Kathmandu, Nepal achieved the record “First Woman Auto Rickshaw Driver in the World”. She started driving the auto-rickshaw of Bajaj Company in Nepal in 1985 A.D. She has been appreciated by the Federation of Handicraft Association of Nepal, Mukti Nepal, Shanti Bikas Abhiyan and the Government of Nepal women, Children and Social Welfare. She received 'The Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the World TM 2000' award in Venice, Italy, organized by the Star Group of USA.
